AfterLight Comics, the UK’s leading independent horror publisher, is proud to announce its latest graphic novel, EMPTY EYES — a haunting and atmospheric tale of innocence lost and darkness reborn on the battlefields of World War I.
Written by Diego Agrimbau and illustrated by Juan Manuel Tumburus, EMPTY EYES invites readers into a chilling world where survival and madness intertwine.
1916, Eastern Front — Poland and Russia: Three orphans remain the only survivors in a shattered orphanage surrounded by devastation and decay. With the world reduced to ruins, they have only one grim way to survive — by luring, killing, and feeding on wounded soldiers seeking refuge.
But one of the children can no longer bear this life of blood and shadows. In a forgotten room filled with lifeless Victorian dolls, he finds new “friends.” The dolls whisper promises of comfort — if only he will grant them one thing they crave above all else:eyes to fill their empty sockets.
Blending psychological horror with historical tragedy, EMPTY EYES is a 90-page graphic novel that explores the fragile line between innocence and monstrosity, sanity and survival.
